Often times, Mario will get a glimpse of a character that you are destined to fight at the beginning of the game, even if your date with destiny isn’t until the end. In the case of Exor, his ugly mug graces the cover of Super Mario RPG, and you have a very early encounter with him later on. What you don’t realize is that he isn’t the final boss, but with as cool as he looks, he might as well be. Exor is a giant sword with big, scary eyes that has helped the Smithy Gang take over Bowser’s keep. He is incredibly awesome for many different reasons, including his scary eyes, his big sword body and the fact that he just doesn’t like Mario very much. He likes to talk a big game, and if you aren’t ready to take him on, you will likely be defeated. Exor is truly an excellent enemy, and I think he would make a great addition to the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 game. They should bring back all of the Smithy gang for one final romp. It has been way too long, and Mario needs some good enemies to fight, and none were more cool looking than Exor.
