When the new Mario game came out for the Wii I was ecstatic. I mean, I liked playing Mario soccer and stuff like that, but I was looking for a real Mario game – one where you got to be Mario and go through adventures and stuff. Then the Galaxy game came out and it seemed like my prayers were answered! I got it the day it came out – there were, however, a couple of problems.

The first problem is that there weren’t other characters that you could play! I loved the older games where you could play as other characters, like Luigi and Peach, but now you’re just Mario. I mean, that’s okay I guess, but I’d kind of like to be able to play as some of the older characters. I’m glad they’re in the game, but last time Luigi seemed like kind of a wimp, always being caught on another world and not being able to rescue himself.

And I’m not sure how I feel about turning into a bee in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was nice to be able to fly again, but I think I liked the Tanuki suit from Mario 3 better than I liked the bumble bee thing…probably just because I am NOT a huge fan of bumble bees. But the ghost thing? That was cool and I’m hoping that we’ll see the ability of Mario to turn into a ghost in the new version, simply because it was awesome. Only, let’s see a bit more of that one, okay?!

But what I think I’m looking forward to the most in Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii is the ability to have a new Mario adventure. I love Mario adventures – I love taking the time to go to different worlds, and that’s easy since Mario is back in space again. And I honestly can’t wait to be able to visit a snow world – how sweet will that be? Mario is always fun when he’s in an ice or snow situation. I’m really glad that Nintendo decided to do another Mario game – here’s hoping it’s as good as, or better than, the last one!
