Will Graphics Be As Cool In New Super Mario Games?

I remember when the original Mario games came out – they were kind of a letdown. Most of us knew that there were great graphics out there, we’d seen them with SEGA, but we didn’t get those graphics with Nintendo. Slowly, but surely, Nintendo graphics got better, but not before they had a huge struggle on their hands with other companies. Now, however, they have cornered the market with the Wii and have created something very unique and very cool. But there’s still one thing that I’m worried about – the graphics.

Now I know that a lot of people are going to say that the graphics that Nintendo comes out with don’t matter as much as the storyline, or as the fact that they are great family games. I disagree. I know that the storyline is important, and that the family friendly aspect that Nintendo brings along with it is important as well, but what I’m worried about is that if they don’t bump their graphics up, they’re going to have a hard time competing with the other companies out there. Even their handheld games have worse graphics than the other handheld games that are available out there.

I’m not sure if the new Mario games that are coming out, like the Super Mario Galaxy 2 game that’s on its way, is going to be anywhere near as good as the graphics on some of the other games. I know that the Galaxy game had some pretty great graphics, but were they great enough? Not necessarily. The graphics are good, but not great.

My biggest hope for the new Galaxy game is that the graphics will continue to be better. That they will be so good that people will not have an excuse for not playing it. They wont’ be able to say that the graphics aren’t nearly as good as other graphics out there, and that they’ll be just as happy with the visuals on this game as they are on the graphics on other games. Here’s hoping, anyway!
